Last weekend, Mer’s parents were in town, so we took a trip to Amish country. It is a pretty drive, and the food is fantastic. We saw 5 or 6 buggies, and I saw one work (cargo) wagon pulled by two horses. I like it down there (south of us by about an hour and a half).
For Sonotmu’s sake, I’ll post this. He likes junk food, and he likes a bargain. Amish bakeries are full of both. Here is the chocolate chip cookie cake Mer and I bought for (ready for this, Sonotmu?) less than $5.00.
I might even pay $6 for a cake like that! What a deal!
Ah Sonotmu, it is not a cake, it is a very thick cookie!
This is actually an optical illusion that stems from the natural assumption that the hand is in fact an adult hand and not the hand of Mu’s midget house-slave which appears in the photos.
Who said Mu never has controversial posts?
Ombudsman…does that mean the toaster (weren’t you going to replace that thing, Mu?) and knives are dwarf-sized as well? Or is this some sort of Peter Jackson optical illusion?
Geez, Mu, I thought Ohioans (your governor excepted) weren’t supposed to lie or deceive! Yet either Ombudsman or Mu, both from Ohio, have contradictory stories…
Ombudsman – I wish it were a giant cookie – it would have been even better. It was very much a cake, so it was good, but oooooooooo – imagine a cookie of that size!
which is promptly stolen by kevin for 100% off
If you call it a “chocolate chip cookie cake” I would like to believe, that all grammar norms aside, that it is more cookie than cake. (I think that I got blinded by the cookie aspect and fantasizing enough to miss the work ‘cake’) If Mu had included proper hyphens, I would not have been forced into such a captivating deception. Example: chocolate-chip-cookie cake. Now that would be more cake than cookie! As you have left it, I feel entitled to my loose constuction.
(BTW, ask Mu about how he was willing to sell the Indian people into slavery today..)
Hey! I only opted to make slavery an option! I haven’t actually USED it yet. (For those reading alarming sounding news, this is a Civ 4 game in History Club at school).
Hey Mr. Riordan. I just wanted to say I appreciate you keeping in contact with your former students. My daughter “Ceril the Wanderer” is one of your former “fools.” You gave her a lot of encouragement, then and now. Thanks.
