Last Wednesday, Mer happily took a break from grading to join me in joining Dubbs to watch The Empire Strikes Back. Dubbs had just gotten all six Star Wars movies on Blue Ray discs, and had invited us to watch them with her at the house of a friend who has a pretty great set-up. So, I made burritos and brownies, and we headed over to the showing. Dubbs had bought ice cream, so we had that to add to the brownies, and so it was a pretty great night.

Empire is my favorite Star Wars film. The battle scene on Hoth was amazing with the very good sound system. Dubbs and I are both fanboys, with Dubbs being an uber-fanboy, so we had fun laughing at the fun parts of the film, and Dubbs had a good time screaming in rage at all the computer-added stuff that was made for the re-release in the late 90s. It was a relaxing evening, and Mer and I realized we had not seen any of the Star Wars films since they were re-released in the theaters in the 90s, so it had been about fifteen years or so. It was good to catch up with old friends (and Luke).
