Mer, that’s the best Shakespearian pumpkin I’ve ever seen.
Likewise, Mu, that’s gotta be the best Christian pumpkin I’ve ever seen. But Mu, don’t you think there are a few tensions between Halloween and Christian Reformed denominations (and pseudo-denominations)? Halloween is, after all, the Eve of All Saints Day, one of the Catholic celebrations that got disposed of as superstition. And the cultural celebration of Halloween is filled with ghosts and goblins. I’m not sure how Halloween got to be such a major holiday in the States, but it does seem incongruous with most non-pagan belief systems.
it’s an anti-blog thing. they REALLY discourage us from having them. i can fill you in WHEN I GET A PHONE CALL.
actually, it may be hard for me, too, as i am extremely busy up through thanksgiving, but maybe i’ll try to ring you again sometime after i get home from school RIGHT AWAY. i am also sensitive to you and your early bedtimes. =)
You realize that most normal people (i.e. me and Jo) carve scary pumpkins? I’ll admit, most of Mere’s students would probably scream at her pumpkin…

I like the subtle (or not-so-subtle) irony…

i am always amused by Christian themes at halloween, but i guess it’s sort of like being a Christian in Hollywood–someone’s gotta try. haha.
love the pumpkins.
sleepy and hungry. off to do something about the second and hopefully not to fall into the first. especially while doing the second.

I love the Shakespeare pumpkin. So not all of her student’s will scream at it.
And the idea of Christian pumpkin…brilliant. Ironic, yet brilliant.
